Butler Guest House

45 Walker Road, Mississippi State, MS 39762
Reservation Desk: 662-325-4140

The Butler Guest House is a quaint 10-room hotel that serves various MSU department guests, alumni, and the general public for business and/or pleasure. Our guest services desk is located within the Butler-Williams building, at 45 Walker Road, between the University Police Department and Hull Hall.

Originally, the Butler-Williams Alumni Center, the facility was named for alumnus (1913) Eugene Butler, publisher of Progressive Farmer magazine and later Southern Living magazine. Butler's generosity did much for MSU -- from funding scholarships to a gift for the construction of the adjacent Butler Guest House. The alumni center also honored the late Bob Williams, longtime executive secretary of the MSU Alumni Association.

The Butler Guest House serves as one of the first places our guests see when they arrive to campus for recruiting events, interviewing for a position, or guest speaking at an event. We strive to give our guests a warm Mississippi State University welcome and a place of comfort and relaxation.

Hours of Desk Operations are from 8am -10pm, 7 days a week, except for University Holidays and Closings.
