Parking & Transit Information
Are you bringing a car to camp with you?
If so, any vehicle parked on campus is required to have a permit or be in a timed or metered area. ParkMobile is the most convenient permit option for visitors, however physical permits are available. Please let our Guest & Conference Services Coordinator know if you need this service.
Are you being dropped off or traveling by plane?
No worries. Our S.M.A.R.T. system can shuttle you downtown or to GTR during scheduled running hours, find S.M.A.R.T schedule and route information here.
Is your group traveling by bus?
Coordinate your arrival, number of buses, and location on campus needed for drop-off and we will make this process seamless.
Please note: Buses cannot be parked at the residence halls and must be parked in designated locations.
Do you need a visitor parking pass?
Please contact our Guest & Conference Services Coordinator to assist you with your parking needs.
Visitors can download the ParkMobile application on their smartphone, register, select their parking zone and pay for parking remotely. Customers also have the option to receive text message alerts or reminders prior to expiration, as well as to extend their parking time. ParkMobile parking options include normal visitor options (staff, commuter, resident zones), as well as timed and metered areas.
Visitors with a state-issued disability placard or plate, like all visitors, must obtain an MSU-issued visitor parking permit but are not required to register their disability placard or plate.
Visitor permits with a state-issued disability placard or plate are valid to park in any ADA-accessible spaces in any non-gated lot.
You can use ParkMobile to pay for ADA Accessible parking. You will still need to have the proper credentials to qualify to park in those spots. Refer to the signage around the specific parking spots for more information.
Visit S.M.A.R.T. for transit routes and live maps to track a bus in real time.
