Overview
The Stennis Institute's “Junior Civics Leadership Academy” (JCLA) is a 7-day conference designed for high school students to learn about topics such as governance, leadership, and community development in a fun, hands on manner. In addition to enjoying the unique simulations and workshops that the Stennis Institute have used as their basis for training professionals across the state, JCLA students will also have the benefit of earning college credit at the same time!

Registration and Cost
The cost for JCLA is $1,000. This includes housing, lunch and dinner, transportation, supplies, conference t-shirts, and a three-hour elective college credit. A non-refundable deposit of $200 is due upon registration and the remainder is due May 1, 2026.
